The Most Important Thing...

Last week, while I was doing stuff around the house, Evan (5 years old) walked in and said, "Mommy, God just called out to me, and asked if he could come into my heart?"
My response was, "Really?" "What did you say back?"

Then he said with the biggest smile you have ever seen,
"YES! I have plenty of room!"

We then had a long discussion about sin, and Jesus dying on the cross, and him raising from the dead, but the coolest part about it was that Evan pretty much told ME everything! I just asked questions, like, "What is sin?" and "Why did Jesus die on the cross?" But, Evan knew and gave me examples! WOW! I can't even put into words what that is like!

Oh, Cat, what a precious experience to be able to have!! I'm so thrilled for you and especially for Evan. Also, I've been meaning to comment on a past post for a couple of weeks now and somehow haven't gotten around to it. I was so encouraged to hear what God has been doing in your life lately. Thanks so much for sharing it. Also, since you've been asking the question of what your 'Kingdom' work is, there is a great book by Ken Hemphill and Richard Ross called " Parenting with a Kingdom Purpose" that has been such a help in focusing my mind, eyes and tasks on those things that really matter. I picked it up at the church bookstore the last time we were home. I need to call you so we can have a chat sometime soon. Love ya!
